We saw Cord today

He is doing great and looks wonderful. He said the prison has a huge blower they turn on every night that makes him FREEZING, so he had to buy long underwear and another sweat outfit. He was using his other one as a pillow but had to use it because he was so cold.

I asked the girl who was in visiting her friend if she knew about the blowers and she said they act like a background noise and keeps the temps down which in turn keeps the inmate's attitudes more mellow. I guess that makes sense?

Anyway, Thanksgiving night was one year to the day when Cord was arrested for going through a red light and also having two pills on his possession. Wierd how FAST/SLOW a year can go.

We are thankful he is doing well and has a good attitude. Jana has taken little TayJay in the past two Saturdays as MIke and I were on our cruise to the Mediterranean. WOW. What a trip. Cord even said he really missed us. We sent a postcard from every port (Venice, Ravenna, Croatia, Israel, Egypt, Greece, Turkey) He said he has only received one so far! Wierd...and it took $1.50 each time to mail it from the ship.

He has to walk from his "house" to the visiting area where he has to be strip searched both ways. He wears a coat over and then has to hang it up before he can come in. Last week it was snowing on him, so we hope our visits coincide between storms.

LIFE. IS. WIERD. and then you die. It was 80 when we left Athens and we flew in to Salt Lake to 2 degrees. brrrr. I am not ready for this cold.

Thanks for thinking of us and our son. Prayers are helping us get through.
